Glycolic acid is a small-molecule alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that loosens bonds between dead skin cells, providing surface exfoliation and renewal. It improves roughness, dullness, fine lines and clogged pores, and at low strengths can gently brighten and support collagen over time.

Best used at night for rough, dull, congested and non-sensitive skin. Low-strength use in pregnancy should be evaluated by a doctor.
Not recommended for very sensitive, rosacea or barrier-impaired skin. Daily sunscreen is mandatory. Avoid stacking strong acids and retinoids in the same routine.

Avoid / caution: Do not layer with multiple strong acids or retinoids in the same step; this can trigger serious irritation.
