Tranexamic Acid: Fade Melasma & Dark Spots Effectively

Struggling with stubborn discoloration? Tranexamic Acid is the solution. It targets hyperpigmentation and brightens skin tone. Reveal your glow today.

Efficacy

Tranexamic acid, originally used as an oral anti-fibrinolytic, offers anti-inflammatory and depigmenting effects when used topically. It interrupts melanogenesis signaling pathways triggered by UV or inflammation, making it a gentle option for melasma, sun spots and uneven tone.

Suitable

  • Suitable for daily use on melasma, sun-induced hyperpigmentation, PIH and uneven skin tone. Often regarded as pregnancy-compatible with medical supervision; pregnant users should consult a doctor.
  • Sensitive skin may experience mild tingling when combined with many strong brighteners/acids; introduce slowly and ensure good hydration + SPF.

Pair – other ingredients

  • Good with: Works well with niacinamide, vitamin C and alpha-arbutin for multi-pathway pigmentation control.
  • Avoid / caution: Avoid overloading sensitive skin with strong acids in the same routine.

Pair with beauty device

Using iontophoresis or ultrasound devices with tranexamic acid serums helps enhance even distribution and local concentration in the stratum corneum, improving results for melasma and stubborn spots, while device intensity should be moderate.

Skin Type

Best for pigmentation-prone, melasma, sallow and uneven-toned skin; sensitive skin should build tolerance gradually.

⚠️ Expert Safety Tips & Usage Guidelines

To ensure the best results and safety when using our skincare devices and products, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Conductivity Matters

When using RF (Radio Frequency) or EMS (Microcurrent) devices, you MUST use a water-based gel or serum. Oil-based products will block the current, rendering the device ineffective and potentially causing heat accumulation on the skin surface.

Avoid Active Acids

On days you use energy-based devices (especially RF or heating modes), please pause the use of strong active ingredients such as AHAs, BHAs, or Retinol. Combining high heat with potent exfoliants may damage the skin barrier and cause irritation.

Patch Test First

Before applying any new serum or gel to your face, always perform a patch test on your inner arm or behind the ear. Wait 24 hours to ensure no allergic reaction occurs.

Strict Sun Protection

Post-treatment skin (especially after Brightening or LED therapy) can be photosensitive. You must apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily to prevent UV damage and pigmentation rebound.
