Mandelic Acid

Mandelic Acid

Mandelic Acid (AHA): Gentle Exfoliation for Sensitive Skin

Brighten dull skin without the sting. Mandelic Acid gently exfoliates, clears acne, and fades spots. The best choice for sensitive skin types.

Efficacy

Mandelic acid is a larger-molecule alpha hydroxy acid with slower penetration, making it gentler than many AHAs. It offers mild exfoliation and antibacterial effects, helping unclog pores, reduce acne and refine dull, rough texture, particularly suitable for sensitive acne-prone skin.

Suitable

  • Ideal for sensitive acne-prone skin, comedonal acne and dull, uneven tone. Low-strength use in pregnancy should be evaluated by a doctor.
  • Still an acid: very sensitive or barrier-compromised skin should be cautious. Daily SPF is required; avoid layering with strong acids/retinoids.

Pair – other ingredients

  • Good with: Works well with HA, panthenol, centella and ceramides for post-exfoliation hydration and calming.
  • Avoid / caution: Do not stack multiple acid products or aggressive scrubs in the same routine.

Pair with beauty device

On nights without mandelic acid application, using ablue LED mask helps target acne bacteria and inflammation, complementing the acid’s exfoliating and antibacterial effects for better long-term acne control and mark fading.

Skin Type

Best for sensitive acne-prone, combination-oily, enlarged-pore and dull skin. Very sensitive or severely dry/cracked skin should follow professional guidance.

⚠️ Expert Safety Tips & Usage Guidelines

To ensure the best results and safety when using our skincare devices and products, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Conductivity Matters

When using RF (Radio Frequency) or EMS (Microcurrent) devices, you MUST use a water-based gel or serum. Oil-based products will block the current, rendering the device ineffective and potentially causing heat accumulation on the skin surface.

Avoid Active Acids

On days you use energy-based devices (especially RF or heating modes), please pause the use of strong active ingredients such as AHAs, BHAs, or Retinol. Combining high heat with potent exfoliants may damage the skin barrier and cause irritation.

Patch Test First

Before applying any new serum or gel to your face, always perform a patch test on your inner arm or behind the ear. Wait 24 hours to ensure no allergic reaction occurs.

Strict Sun Protection

Post-treatment skin (especially after Brightening or LED therapy) can be photosensitive. You must apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily to prevent UV damage and pigmentation rebound.
