Glycerin for Skin: The Underrated Hero for Soft Hydration

Get soft, supple skin with Glycerin. This classic humectant draws water into the skin for long-lasting moisture without irritation. Perfect for all skin types.

Efficacy

Glycerin is a time-tested humectant, drawing and holding water from the environment and deeper layers to provide basic hydration and softening of the stratum corneum. It leaves the skin smoother, more supple and less tight.

Suitable

  • Suitable for all skin types and daily use, including sensitive and pediatric skin. Considered pregnancy-safe.
  • In very dry climates, it should be paired with occlusives/creams to optimize hydration.

Pair – other ingredients

  • Good with: Found in most formulas, compatible with acids, retinoids, antioxidants and botanicals, enhancing hydration throughout.
  • Avoid / caution: No major conflicts; judge the full formulation’s richness/texture for your skin type.

Pair with beauty device

  • Glycerin is a core humectant in many conductive gels used for EMS and RF devices:
  • It provides glide and hydration for smooth device movement.
  • It helps keep skin moisturized during treatments, reducing dryness and discomfort.

Skin Type

Suitable for all skin types, including dry, oily, combination, sensitive and mature skin.

⚠️ Expert Safety Tips & Usage Guidelines

To ensure the best results and safety when using our skincare devices and products, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Conductivity Matters

When using RF (Radio Frequency) or EMS (Microcurrent) devices, you MUST use a water-based gel or serum. Oil-based products will block the current, rendering the device ineffective and potentially causing heat accumulation on the skin surface.

Avoid Active Acids

On days you use energy-based devices (especially RF or heating modes), please pause the use of strong active ingredients such as AHAs, BHAs, or Retinol. Combining high heat with potent exfoliants may damage the skin barrier and cause irritation.

Patch Test First

Before applying any new serum or gel to your face, always perform a patch test on your inner arm or behind the ear. Wait 24 hours to ensure no allergic reaction occurs.

Strict Sun Protection

Post-treatment skin (especially after Brightening or LED therapy) can be photosensitive. You must apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily to prevent UV damage and pigmentation rebound.
