Alpha Arbutin Serums: Safe & Powerful Skin Brightening

Say goodbye to dark spots. Alpha Arbutin inhibits melanin to even out skin tone effectively and safely. Achieve a luminous complexion today.

Efficacy

Alpha arbutin is a gentle yet effective brightening ingredient that inhibits tyrosinase activity, reducing melanin production at the source. Over time, it helps fade dark spots, melasma, sun spots and post-acne marks, leading to a more even, radiant complexion with typically lower irritation than some harsher whiteners.

Suitable

  • Suitable for daily use, ideal for spot-prone, melasma, sun-damaged and uneven-toned skin. Generally considered pregnancy-safe and commonly used in pregnancy-safe brightening products.
  • Sensitive skin may experience mild irritation if combined with many other strong brighteners/acids; introduce gradually and always use sunscreen.

Pair – other ingredients

  • Good with: Combines well with vitamin C, niacinamide and tranexamic acid for multi-pathway pigmentation control, and works best alongside daily SPF.
  • Avoid / caution: Excessive layering with harsh acids or over-exfoliation may increase irritation risk.

Pair with beauty device

Using ultrasound or iontophoresis devices with an alpha arbutin serum can enhance its distribution and residence in the stratum corneum, improving the efficacy on localized dark spots, melasma and PIH. Device intensity and frequency should be moderated to avoid irritation.

Skin Type

Best for spot-prone, dull, yellowish and uneven-toned skin. Generally compatible with most skin types; very sensitive skin should build tolerance gradually.

⚠️ Expert Safety Tips & Usage Guidelines

To ensure the best results and safety when using our skincare devices and products, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Conductivity Matters

When using RF (Radio Frequency) or EMS (Microcurrent) devices, you MUST use a water-based gel or serum. Oil-based products will block the current, rendering the device ineffective and potentially causing heat accumulation on the skin surface.

Avoid Active Acids

On days you use energy-based devices (especially RF or heating modes), please pause the use of strong active ingredients such as AHAs, BHAs, or Retinol. Combining high heat with potent exfoliants may damage the skin barrier and cause irritation.

Patch Test First

Before applying any new serum or gel to your face, always perform a patch test on your inner arm or behind the ear. Wait 24 hours to ensure no allergic reaction occurs.

Strict Sun Protection

Post-treatment skin (especially after Brightening or LED therapy) can be photosensitive. You must apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily to prevent UV damage and pigmentation rebound.
